A P0014 Code means the onboard computer is seeing low oil pressure.

Below are the most common symptoms, along with causes and fixes.

What is a Chevy Trailblazer P0014 Code?

A P0014 error code is an “Exhaust (B) Camshaft Position System Performance.”

Some scan tools will give an Exhaust (B) Camshaft Position Timing – Over Advanced Bank 1.

The most common cause of a Chevy Trailblazer with a P0014 error code is low oil or bad actuator solenoid.

The first thing to check is the oil level since a P0014 error code can be caused by little to no oil in the engine.

The unit has screens that get dirty and clogged, which will cause an issue.

The solenoid is located behind the power steering pump, which will need to be removed to get to it.

The Solenoid can be bought at an auto part store or online on Amazon or eBay.

Summary
A P0014 OBDII trouble code given by an OBDII code reader on a Chevy Trailblazer is usually caused by low oil or VVT solenoid.

This is often an easy fix, as long as other damage has not been caused, and the fix is usually to replace the solenoid.

If the oil level has dropped too low, the engine can become damaged and cause many issues.

If the oil level is good, the solenoid should be checked next and is a common failure.

The solenoid has small filter screens that can become clogged up, stopping the flow of oil.

Changing the oil is also usually a good idea as old oil can cause issues.

Some mechanics clean the solenoid and insert it back in, which I would not recommend since they are low-cost, and another component on the solenoid may have failed.

I have recently got the p0014 code. I have changed my vvt solenoid with a new one. Also replaced my camshaft position sensor. With battery disconnected. As well as brand new oil change and full. I am still getting the code. Any thoughts on this? Could it be the camshaft phaser or loose timing chain? The SUV does have over 200k miles. I am at a loss here.
