Replacing a Headlight Bulb on a Toyota Camry 2001–2006 is an easy task that most any DIYer can do.

There are 2 headlight bulbs with the inner one the high-beam and outer one the low-beam. The far outside one is the turn signal.

Low-cost standard bulbs can be bought or better high performance one can be bought.

The low-cost units will work fine and are what comes with the Camry from the factory.

The driver side headlight bulbs are next to the battery which if removed makes the job easier.

The bulbs can be removed without taking the battery out although removing the battery makes it easier.

The passenger side headlight bulbs are easy to get to and nothing needs to be removed to get to them.

When replacing any headlight bulb be sure not to touch the bulb itself with your fingers, as oil from your hands can create a hot spot that shortens the life of the bulb.

How To Replace a Headlight Bulb Toyota Camry 2001–2006

  1. Open the hood and locate the bulb behind the headlight assembly.
  2. Remove the electric plug by pushing in the tab and pulling it off.

  4. Turn the bulb counter-clockwise and pull it out to remove it.

  6. Insert the new bulb turning it clockwise to lock it in.

  8. Reattach the electrical plug.
  9. Test the light which should now work.

Replacing the running lights is the same as replacing the headlight bulbs.
