  • 12mm Socket
  • 14mm Socket
  • 17mm Socket
  • T-50 Torx Bit Socket
  • New Alternator

Some tools will be needed, mainly 12mm, 14mm, and 17mm sockets or wenches.

A T-50 Torx Bit socket will be needed to remove the top bolt on the tensioner.

A new alternator will also be needed, which can be bought at an auto-parts store or online on Amazon or eBay.

How To Replace a Honda Civic Alternator (2012-2018)

  1. Disconnect the positive battery terminal.
  2. Remove the electrical connections on the alternator.
